Get to Know Your Machine

Have a sewing machine but not quite sure where to start? This class is perfect for beginners and returning sewists who want to build confidence behind the needle.
In this relaxed, hands-on class, you’ll learn:
— The basic parts of your machine
— How to wind a bobbin and thread correctly
— Stitch settings, tension tricks, and troubleshooting tips
— Straight-line practice on paper and scrap fabric
No projects, no pressure — just a fun and supportive environment to get to know your machine and make sewing feel less intimidating.
IMPORTANT: If your sewing machine hasn’t been used in over a year, we strongly recommend having it serviced before class to ensure it’s in good working order. This helps avoid frustration and ensures you can participate fully.
Bring your machine and any accessories it came with (don’t forget the power cord and manual if you have it), and we’ll handle the rest with patient guidance and a welcoming atmosphere.
