Scrappy Treasures: Smashbook Art Journal Class
Transform a simple composition book into a beautiful, expressive space for creativity. In this class, you will create an art journal using your fabric or paper scraps while exploring color play, encouragement, and self expression. We will work with paint, markers, Mod Podge, words and images from magazines, ribbons, and embroidery thread. Expect a hands-on, playful, and slightly messy creative experience.
In the first class, we will decorate the cover, create a grounding page, and design the first interior page featuring a self-love poem to welcome the new year.
What to bring:
Just your creativity and any fabric scraps you have. Tiny scraps are perfect. If you are not a quilter or sewer, bring your favorite colorful paper scraps instead.
You will leave with a one-of-a-kind Scrappy Treasures Smashbook that you created and can continue building in future sessions.
Be ready to get messy and have fun.
